Brian Jones
Brian Jones, born Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones on February 28, 1942, was the founder and original bandleader of the Rolling Stones. He was a multi-instrumentalist, mainly known as guitarist, harmonica and keyboard player but also played a wide variety of other instruments including dulcimer and sitar, and his innovative use of them was integral to the sound of the band in the 1960s. After developing a drug problem he was asked to leave the band in June, 1969 and drowned in his pool on July 3, 1969.
